Yolk of Blue Memory is the second full-length album from Australian dungeon synth project Forest Temple. Conceived by Lepidus Plague—an artist best known for his work in the raw black metal band Kommodus—this synthesizer-based outlet trades aggressive instrumentation for immersive, otherworldly soundscapes.

Moving away from the sharper edge of the project's debut, this sophomore effort shifts toward a noticeably soothing and meditative atmosphere. The overall sound is deeply rooted in the primitive, lo-fi aesthetic of classic dungeon synth, yet it expands into dreamlike, psychedelic experimentation. Relying heavily on warm layers of vintage-sounding synthesizers, acoustic folk flourishes, and occasional distant vocalizations, the album crafts a uniquely hypnagogic experience. Subtle nods to hallucinatory vaporwave bleed into traditional forest reverie, resulting in a tranquil but gently disorienting audio environment. A quiet, slightly eerie listening experience that naturally invites the mind to wander through secluded natural landscapes and forgotten, mist-shrouded eras.
