The album masterfully balances the distinct sonic strengths of both projects. Hyrde surges forward with his thunderous pagan black metal, conjuring the visceral fury of a Dark Age shield wall. Seamlessly, Hemlokk weaves in their signature rural neofolk, using mournful acoustic guitars and delicate piano to capture the quiet, misty solitude of pastoral life.
